(Technical Web Design Info)

The designing of this site has been a true cross-platform effort. Both Mac and PC computers are needed to open important Restoration Voice documents, and to create web graphics in the special font.

Dreamweaver and Photoshop are the primary software tools used in the creation of this site. WordPerfect 3.5 for Macintosh was used as the primary word processor, now the webmaster has migrated to Microsoft Office X for Macintosh. Text and script editing is done in BBEdit for Macintosh.

The philosophy of the design of this site is that it should be accessible to as many computer users as possible. This was very important to Restoration Voice, and to me, the designer of this site.

RestorationVoice.org is previewed in Mac and PC, using the browsers Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Safari, and Firefox. It is previewed in the three most common screen resolutions (800x600, 1024x768, & 1280x1024) but it looks best when viewed in 800x600 or 1024x768.

RestorationVoice.org was not designed with a lot of advanced web goodies (like excessive Javascript, Flash, etc.). This was a deliberate choice, because we feared that some of these advanced (but fabulous) features might not behave well on older, slower computers.
